BioScale Mini-Lab

The world’s first portable quantitative biomarker analyzer designed to use at home. It’s about the size of a tissue box and requires no training: simply insert a prepared test cartridge and it does the rest. With built in wireless connectivity, your results are sent to your smartphone in 20 minutes.

Monitoring Kit

The kit includes 12 test cartridges. Each cartridge tests (2) biomarkers: Cortisol+DHEA simultaneously. The kit also includes accessories used to prepare each cartridge, including a finger stick to draw a drop of blood, a transfer pipette, and an alcohol wipe.

Personal App

A window into your unique personal biology, the Bioscale app shows your results and let’s you see how they change over time. It dynamically syncs with your Biocale to insure up-to-the-minute accuracy and visibility into your results.

Testing Steps

Use the sterilizing wipe to clean the finger you want to prick, then press the finger stick against the tip of your finger.

Push the capillary tube into the square slot on the test cartridge, then push the plunger quickly.

Ensure that you have all kit accessories and lay them all out within reach.

Lean the capillary tube at an angle, then hold it up to the blood drop that forms on your finger.

Slide the test cartridge into the Mini-Lab, and you’re done! You can check the progress of the test in the BioScale App.

Number of points/images can be adjusted depending on finalized process.

  • Yes - the BioScale app is how you connect to the Mini-Lab, run your test cartridges, and view your results. Once you place your order, we’ll send you a link via email to download the app.

  • Yes, you’ll need to have an account through our website and be logged in to use the BioScale app.

    Why? - Because we utilize SquareSpace’s user account system to keep your data secure. By logging in via SquareSpace, we’re able to keep your personal info and health data separate, protecting your privacy and security.

  • We anonymize all data before it’s stored in our database to keep any identifying information separate from your results and other health info.

    SquareSpace, our website and shop host, keeps all your personal information secure, while our database uses only your unique customer ID.

  • DHEAS is an adrenal hormone produced by the adrenal glands, and acts as a storage form of another adrenal hormone - DHEA.

    This hormone acts as a precursor to other hormones like testosterone and estrogen, and plays a role in your body’s sexual function, bone health, stress response, and aging.

  • DHEAS is more abundant in the bloodstream than DHEA, and the levels of DHEAS remain more stable over time. This makes DHEAS ideal for getting measurements of your overall DHEA status, since results will be more accurate and consistent.

  • By measuring both of these hormones, we provide you with the ratio of DHEAS to cortisol to give you deeper insight into your body function and processes.

    Looking at the balance of these hormones can tell you about your stress response, metabolic health, and overall hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis function.
